Beginner Friendly - Intermediate

Yoga Foundations

Build confidence and a strong foundation in this welcoming class designed for beginners or anyone looking to refine their practice. Explore foundational poses, breathing techniques, alignment, balance, and movement through a four-week repeating series. Students and ask quesetions, seek help with alignment and be supported.

Each class stands alone, so you can start any week and progress at your own pace.

Week 1 – Foundations - Breath, Alignment & Basic Poses

  • Breathing, Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Forward Fold, Downward Dog, Plank, Warrior I

  • Understanding alignment and safe movement

    Focus: Learn how to breathe efficiently and move with proper alignment.

Week 2 – Balance & Stability - Finding Strength and Confidence

  • Tree Pose, Warrior III (modified), Eagle Arms, Chair Pose, Core engagement

  • Balance techniques and fall prevention

  • Focus: Improve stability, concentration, and confidence on the mat.

Week 3 – Strength & Flow - Connecting Breath to Movement

  • Sun Salutation breakdown, Warrior sequence, Low Lunge, Side Angle, Plank variations

  • Smooth transitions between poses

  • Focus: Build strength, endurance, and learn how poses connect in a flowing practice.

Week 4 – Flexibility & Relaxation - Stretch, Restore & Recover

  • Hip openers, Gentle twists, Hamstring stretches, Supported restorative poses, Guided relaxation

  • Introduction to mindfulness and meditation

  • Focus: Increase flexibility, reduce tension, and leave with tools to relax both body and mind.

Restorative

Slow down, soften, and give your body time to rest. Restorative yoga uses supportive props and longer-held poses to gently release tension and encourage deep relaxation.

This calming practice invites you to let go of effort, settle the nervous system, and create space to simply be. Perfect for all levels and anyone looking for rest, recovery, and a slower pace.

Hatha

Move with intention and create space to connect with your body and breath. Hatha yoga combines mindful movement, traditional yoga poses, breath awareness, and moments of stillness at a comfortable pace.

Expect time to explore each posture, build strength and flexibility, and leave feeling grounded and refreshed. All levels welcome.

Private Yoga Sessions

Bring yoga to your space, your team, or your special event. Private sessions are tailored to your group’s needs, whether you’re looking to build strength and flexibility, reduce stress, support athletic performance, or simply enjoy time together.

Sessions are available at The Yoga Loft YGK or we can come to you. Perfect for individuals, sports teams, workplaces, retreats, celebrations, and private groups.

Outdoor Yoga (Gentle)

Start your day by the water with a gentle, all-level 45-minute gentle yoga class. Enjoy mindful movement, fresh air, and beautiful lake views as you awaken your body and mind. Leave feeling refreshed, energized and ready to take on the day!

Yoga for Athletes

A class designed for active bodies. Improve flexibility, mobility, balance and awareness while giving your muscles and mind time to recover. Perfect for runners, sports teams, athletes, gym-goers, and anyone looking to complement their training with mindful movement. Gentle

Slow down, listen to your body, and move with care. Gentle Yoga is a slower-paced Hatha practice designed to create space for mindful movement, breath, and awareness.

Props may be used to support the body and make poses more accessible. Expect a low-and-slow practice that helps you build mobility, release tension, and leave feeling calm and refreshed.

Intermediate

Yin

Slow down, release tension, and create space in both the mind and body. Yin Yoga is a gentle, meditative practice where poses are held for longer with the support of props to improve flexibility, release deep tension, and encourage relaxation.

This calming class promotes mindfulness, balance, and a sense of restoration. Perfect for all levels, including beginners, and a wonderful complement to more active lifestyles.

All levels welcome. No yoga experience required.

Yang/Yin

Find balance between effort and ease. Yang/Yin brings together dynamic movement and longer, passively held poses to create a practice that strengthens, stretches, and restores.

Begin with energizing movement before slowing down into deeper, supported holds. Leave feeling both grounded and refreshed—a balanced practice for body and mind.

Intermediate - Advanced

Vinyasa

Connect breath to movement in this flowing and energizing yoga practice. Vinyasa links poses together in creative sequences designed to build strength, mobility, and body awareness.

Expect a steady rhythm of movement, opportunities to challenge yourself, and plenty of options to modify along the way. Some yoga experience recommended—move at your own pace and make the practice your own.

Sculpt

Build strength, challenge your body, and have some fun along the way. Sculpt combines yoga-inspired movement with weights and a fitness-focused approach to create a dynamic full-body workout.

Expect energizing sequences that build strength, stability, and endurance while encouraging you to find your edge. Come ready to move, sweat, and feel strong.
